Meet Dr. Barry

Samuel Barry, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist at Ophthalmology Associates, serving patients in greater St. Louis. Dr. Barry specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK and femtosecond-laser assisted cataract surgery. He is subspecialty trained in performing corneal transplants including DMEK, DSEK, and full-thickness corneal transplantation.

Dr. Barry grew up in Virginia where he also graduated with his undergraduate degree. While training in ophthalmology and serving as Chief Resident at University of Missouri, he developed a passion for cataract, refractive, and cornea surgery and published research on advancing treatment of astigmatism with toric intraocular lenses.

As someone who was a patient of outstanding optometrists and ophthalmologists — Dr. Barry previously wore glasses and contacts before undergoing LASIK — he understands the trust patients place in their eye care providers. He is honored by the opportunity to provide cutting-edge care to patients and is extremely fortunate to be surrounded by the like-minded, compassionate staff and physicians at Ophthalmology Associates.
